A familiar idea, built from native ingredients
Half lemonade, half tea is one of the most familiar combinations around — usually made with lemons and tea leaves that traveled a long way to get here. Half & Half keeps that same simple structure but starts from what actually grows in the American South: the muscadine grape in place of lemonade alone, and brewed yaupon holly in place of shipped-in tea leaves.
Both plants were here long before the drinks they stand in for — muscadines climbing wild along the coast, yaupon brewed in these woods for generations. Half & Half is our way of putting that homegrown history back in the glass.

Meet the plants doing the work
Muscadine Grape
A thick-skinned, musky-sweet grape native to the Southeast, grown wild for centuries — including a single Roanoke Island vine believed to be over 400 years old.
Yaupon Holly
A caffeinated holly native to the Southern coast, brewed here for generations — naturally smooth, low in tannins, and growing wild right at home.
Why The Pairing Works
The same balance, a different accent
A good half-and-half lives or dies on the balance between tart-sweet lemonade and the earthy backbone of tea. Muscadine juice brings that same tart-sweet lift, but with a deeper, wine-dark grape flavor lemons alone can't offer. Yaupon brings the earthy structure — plus real, naturally occurring caffeine — without the bitterness a hard-brewed black tea can add.
Grape-forward and bright up front, easing into a smooth, tea-like warmth on the finish.

One drink, one working farm
Half & Half is the clearest snapshot of River Woods Ranch we've got: one half from the muscadine vineyard we're planting, the other from yaupon holly already growing wild in the woods. Around both, we're building a winery and tasting room, raising a heritage herd of Florida Cracker cattle, and developing agricultural homesteads across the property.
