River Woods Ranch is an agrihood — a community built around what it grows. When you can see how food is grown, you understand what you're eating, and you eat better for it. A cow here lives three to ten good years on native forage, compared to the typical eighteen months in a feedlot you'd see at the grocery store. Along the way, the herd keeps the pastures grazed and the soil fed — and because a herd can only carry so many males before they compete over the cows, the steers, in their time, become the ranch's beef: animals honored for living well, not rushed to market.

RWR Gardens

Next to the market sits the RWR Gardens — the 1,150-acre ranch condensed into a couple thousand square feet, with statues, photos, and trail-marker vignettes. A historically accurate timeline mural runs from thousands of years of Yaupon tea to the present, so you can take in the whole project in minutes.
